Anglers' Legacy - Take the Pledge!

Share the Legacy

What is Anglers' Legacy all about?

It is about giving back what you have been given, and making a promise to introduce someone new to fishing - a family member, co-worker, neighbor, acquaintance at church or perhaps, the mechanic who works on your car. Since the program's inception in 2006, more than 250,000 avid anglers nationwide have signed on as an Ambassador.

You become an Ambassador for the Anglers' Legacy program when you take the pledge. Ambassadors of the program contribute to conservation efforts across the country by encouraging others to "Take the Pledge," and purchasing licenses and equipment. Ambassadors from across the country are giving back and play an important role in the program.

arrowMore than 80 percent have taken newcomers fishing in the past year with an average of 4.2 newcomers per Ambassador; 68 percent more than non-Ambassadors.

arrowAmbassadors take an average of 3.3 youth on introductory trips; 73 percent more than non-Ambassadors.

arrowApproximately 60 percent of Ambassadors have recommended that others "Take the Pledge."
